The Dreiländereck, or "vertex of the three countries", is the point where Germany, France and Switzerland converge. From there, river traffic flows to the North Sea, which is why it is the nodal point for the supply of raw materials for Switzerland. It is a unique crossroads of three countries, languages and cultures.
